In 2015, I walked into Fidelitorium Studios in North Carolina with new songs born from the two years prior clouded with loss, betrayal and fear of an uncertain future. Yvonne Boyd also walked into the studio that weekend, with her drum set and unwavering confidence in my voice, songs, vision and my musical abilities. The resulting album gained the attention of the Grammy association and the songwriting community around the world. Now ten years later, the loss, fear and dark foreboding of the future have returned and I need to step back into that brittle season again.
